OPJ Podcasts! “Code Geva Episode 1: Now I Have to Settle for Purple Pants”

Ain’t makin’ no friend with this one. Due to both our bloods getting on a demon contract that spontaneously appeared, the two of us have to take on an anime that we’ve each not seen.

I have to take on Code Geass. Its really stupid, but don’t let that stop you from enjoying the second opening theme. The unbelievable terribleness of that song will stop you all on its own, and then there’s how much the show sucks. Also, did I say that opening is really bad? I bears repeating.

Then we have one of the big ones. Usually, I wouldn’t consider opening that can of worms, but what can I do when DoubleGomez has never seen Evangelion? Like I said, not making any friends with this one.

OPJ Podcasts! “OPJ’s Bizzare Podcast – Part 1: Submarine Honeymoon”

In the wake of the internet blackout, I’m sure a few of you are a bit stressed, so I think it’s time for something to relax your nerves. I warn you, though, this might get a bit… what’s the word I’m looking for… weird?

It’s time to start off our theme year. A whole year of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure podcasts, covering the majesty of Hirohiko Araki’s creation that’s influenced manga, music, movies, and culture as a whole since 1987. We start off simple, just one podcast, for what started it all: Phantom Blood.

The SOPA Strike

Any of you out there watching the internet regularly are probably already well aware of SOPA and PIPA. Today, January 18, 2012, there is a massive strike across the internet in protest against these bills. I originally wanted to join the strike ourselves, but due to the limitations of our blog, this being a WordPress blog rather than a WordPress powered site, means that I can’t add the necessary plugin or code to have the site be censored for today. However, we still want to do our part to speak out against these bills.

To learn more about these bills and what you can do to help, please visit http://sopastrike.com/strike/ and send a letter to your representatives today. You can also search around for petitions and various other anti-SOPA and PIPA movements. Do your part. We go around all the time about how super powerful the internet is, and it’s time to flex those muscles.
